DIY Tissue Paper Box Cover

It’s been such a long time since I last updated this blog — which also means it’s been a long time since I shared any creative ideas here!
Why? Well, life happened. These days I’m working as an engineer, which keeps me super busy (and honestly, quite exhausted, lol).

Another reason I stopped blogging for a while is because my online income dropped after one of my advertisers banned my account. I ended up getting removed from one of the biggest ad providers, which was really disappointing — especially because I lost the rest of my earnings before I could even withdraw them. I’ll admit it: I didn’t always read the terms and conditions carefully, and I accidentally broke one of their rules. That experience really demotivated me to keep blogging.

But now, I feel refreshed and ready to write again — as long as I’m not too tired after work. 😄
I know this blog is supposed to be all about creativity, so maybe I shouldn’t share too much about my personal ups and downs here. But after being away for so long, I just couldn’t help it. Lol.

Anyway! Let’s move on to something more fun — today I want to share my DIY Tissue Paper Box Cover!
My DIY Tissue Paper Box Cover

My online name is Anjieya — there’s a little story behind it.

So, what do you think about my tissue box cover? Cute, right?

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:

Materials:

1. A used carton box (I used an instant noodle box, but any cardboard box works fine

2. Materials that you need

Ok.. what do you need is:

1. A used carton box (I used an instant noodle box, but any cardboard box works fine)

2. Gift-wrapping paper

3. Protective tape

4. Double-sided tape

5. Pencil, eraser, ruler, and scissors

You can design your box in any shape or style you like — just use your imagination!
If you want to make one similar to mine, here’s a sketch I made to show the layout:

• Purple parts: front and back sides

• Green parts: top and bottom

• Yellow parts: left and right sides

• Dark blue: hole for pulling out the tissues

• Light blue: glue flaps for assembling the box

It’s a simple design, even if it’s not perfectly to scale.

To make it look prettier, cover the box with gift-wrapping paper (either before or after you assemble it). I personally wrapped mine after forming the box. Once it’s all covered, you can add some decorations.

For mine, I used DIY paper snowflakes as decoration — but you can use whatever you like!

If you want to make the snowflakes like mine:

• Cut out 4 paper snowflakes (2 large and 2 small).

• Stick each small snowflake on top of a large one using double-sided tape or glue.

Then, attach them to your tissue box cover.

Here’s how my DIY tissue paper box cover turned out — I remembered to take photos after finishing it, so the materials you see might not look exactly the same as in the tutorial.

Decorating home for Christmas

Long time ago I watched "Love Actually" and I really love this movie but there is something on this movie that make me always remember it. It is the intro of the movie which repeated by the singer because he remember the old version of this song, ya it was old song but make it into new song with modification of some lyric. The song is like this:

I feel it in my fingers
I feel it in my toes
Christmas is all around me
And so the feeling grows
It's written in the wind
It's everywhere I go
So if you really love Christmas

Ya... The Christmas 2012 is about 10 days later and I feel that Christmas is all around. Many part of this world must doing set or still planning how to make the Christmas atmosphere glow. So did you set your Christmas idea? I did share some Christmas tree collection about 2 years ago then now it's time to share light up Christmas atmosphere in your home by decorate your home with many kinds of Christmas nuance's stuff. 

This toilet cover decorated with Santa face on the seat and Santa dress for the doormat. Interesting idea and this idea also irritate me to make this post.

Interior & house furniture that inspired by computer stuff

There are a lot of house furniture that takes from nature or inspired by nature, but I think it is cool when house furniture are inspired by computer stuff. Do you think it is cool too, ok let see them:
1. Binary doormat

Binary: It's like a secret language geeks. Thoughts of a geek: "test the intelligence of the guests at your house". While if you have a programmer friends then he/she will laugh to it, others will think that this is a cool minimalist design. Ok, will help to translate this code it is written as "Welcome" without (").



2. Numeric Keypad Chairs

A geek woman can also neat and modern, for example in this chair by Simone Mitchell. Curve shape of this chair looks simple and comfortable. But what really makes it stand out is the design of the keypad with a cast of pink, yellow and blue-green make brighter.
 
3. Table Pointer

This model table is a table with a minimalist modern design. This model was designed by Modnest. This pointer table design can be worn alone or with any others drawn into a series. This table is made of painted wood veneer, this table is available in black, white and orange.

Among the designs are inspired by things related to computers, then I most liked the design of this curtain is the ASCII code. From a distance it looks like curtains smooth silhouette of winter trees. But when viewed up close, you'll see that this is not an ordinary tree design, but of the tree drawings were made with letters and characters from the ASCII character encoding scheme used for text on a computer. Nieke designers inspired by the ASCII computer Sybrandy 1980s.

 5. Wolfgang Keyboard Bench

Required 2000 of the recycling of computer keyboards to create an undulating bench who are unusual by designer Nolan Herbut. This chair looks beautiful and ergonomic to use but probably the coolest things about this bench is the fact that these keys can still be suppressed, making it too tempting to play while you relax.
