Coral Reef, Ecological Project 1000 House in Haiti which Inspired by the Coral Reef

Referred to as black pearls West Indies, Haiti is a beautiful island nation which many tourists visit. But in 2010, the country is devastated by an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale, many homes and existing facilities were destroyed in Haiti, so overall this country must wake up and at reset. This is where the architect Vincent Callebaut came up with a big project which is relatively new and innovative urban planning and architecture with modern reply, that's the beginning of the cultivation of the Coral Reef.

Design Construction Process

This project is an independent village development plan with 3-dimensional concept which can generate its own energy source. Each "building has a very simple construction, because basically this is a project to address the problem of the many post-earthquake refugees who do not have a place to live. The design house consists of only two passive houses (metal structure and a distinguished solid tropical wood) which support each other each other and connecting each housing unit.
As I have us refer for thread title, that the housing project was inspired by coral reefs, here the architects took the concept of coral reef two waves, so this project can accommodate about 1000 families of disaster victims in Haiti. Second foundation "wave" is firmly embedded in the seabed Caribbean. Winding line "which is contained in the ground (anti-seismic) to absorb vibration when an earthquake happens.
Coral Reef As the Ecological Residential
Coral reef as environments will be in the habitable by 1000 this family is designed with facilities which support the greening of the earth, a healthy environment, the concept of ecological shelter here be applied with a variety of ways such as on every roof there are gardens to grow crops so that each family can cultivate their own food , and cultivating their food waste and waste as fertilizer. Aquiculture farms where there are fish pond maintenance, and clean up water purification plants which contain toxins and impurities in use well water used for bathing purposes, or raising so as not to damage the sea when discharged to the sea.

Beautiful buildings with a volcano design concept

Long time ago I want to make a post about this title. It's inspired from Merapi's volcano eruption in November-December 2010, but I was busy doing my project lately and I haven't finish it till now. (~_~)"
As the title "Beautiful building with volcano design concept", yes.. there is many building that inspired from nature and environment, and they are so amazing, wonderful, beautiful and out from ordinary building design that usually have shape like a box. I know there is many blog that also talk about this design concept idea, but I want post again but with little different style. (^_^)". Let's check out this idea:
1. Taichung Convention Center
Like a cluster of pleated, venetian blind-esque volcanoes, this new convention center in Taiwan has “skin” that will naturally ventilate the structure and generate energy from solar power. Beijing-based MAD Architects recently designed the Taichung Convention Center as a commission by the Taiwanese government. The center is intended to become a new local landmark and help redefine the cultural landscape of the city, while also drawing attention to sustainable development and growth.
The folded solar eco-skin of the building serves two purposes – first, the envelopes provide natural air flow to the interior to minimize air conditioning. Second, the pleatings also utilize a “double photovoltaic glass,” which will help reduce energy consumption. One side of the pleat is a transparent material that lets light into the interior, providing plentiful natural daylight, while the other side of the pleat is solid.
Built according to existing site topography, the structure of the center further accentuates what was already there. The moutainous forms resemble craters and are anywhere from 39-85 meters in height. Outdoor courtyards and balconies dot the architectural form to create a more organic landscape. In total, the building area is over 216,000 square meters (+ 2.3 million sq ft) and will have various uses including entertainment, retail, convention space, offices and parking. The inside of the convention center is filled with light and will hopefully be all it claims to be in terms of sustainability.
2. Blue Volcano Concept, Zagreb, Croatia
With a lightweight skin, recycled materials, solar power, and a somewhat crazy-lookin’ volcano-esque shape, this “cloud-covered” stadium in Zagreb has tons of eco-promise. Designed by Croatia-based njiric+ arhitekti, the Za(breg) Stadium is set to be a new landmark for the city center. Nicknamed the “Blue Volcano” by both the public and the press, the new stadium rises up from the city floor in a smooth arc to encapsulate the arena within.
The stadium is constructed of lightweight materials – steel cables, EFTE membranes and a polycarbonate dome, reducing the need for an excess of resources. An artificial hill will hold the arena and is built up from recycled rubber, while the exterior surface is corrugated aluminum painted with blue pigment. The volcano-shaped building is topped with a dome, and a “floating cloud” covers the interior playing field. Lightweight photovoltaic panels are sewn into the zeppelin-like cloud and generate power for the stadium.
Surrounding the stadium are retail areas to make the site a multi-use development and the spacious grounds house more areas for the public to recreate. A skateboarding and climbing area are built into the side of the stadium and additional playing fields sit adjacent to the site. All in all, a good project for Croatia that could help unify the city with a fun and smart eco stadium.
There still many idea of volcano design for building, like as: Italy’s Volcano Buono Shopping Centerbut; Ultra Modern Volcano House, California;Estadio Chivas – Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico; Earthquake-Proof Solar-Powered Volcano Towers; Crystal Island, Moscow; BEI-Teesside Power Plant, UK; Jameos del Agua, Resort in a Volcanic Crater; Roden Crater, Arizona Art Installation; Museum Jogja Kembali; Museum Gunung Merapi and others. But I'm too tired, and as I see there is too many site that talk about it, then I'm become bored and lazy to talk about it. Sorry, I'm lazy to continue it.

Beautiful buildings Concept that took design from nature

Nature always provides lessons and amazing benefits for humans, but we as humans have not been able to explore all the benefits of these natural. Nature is God's creation that serves to support human life on earth. Nature also created full of mystery that we must dig for the sake of human survival, for example, began with a bird wing design that is able to inspire people to make us able to fly in space.
This time I wanted to share about some of the buildings have a beautiful design and incredible that I found from various sources on the internet, the beautiful buildings that inspired from nature that can be found in our environment. With the genius and the human imagination, then created some spectacular buildings and remind us to nature.
1. Dragonfly Design for Vertical Farm
When I saw this building design drawings for the first time, I guess that this design takes the concept of the butterfly. But after I read it turns out this design takes the concept design of dragonfly wings as green house agricultural fields. However the design did look like a butterfly that is sucking the nectar of flowers. This futuristic skyscraper project Suggests building a prototype of an urban farm, offering a mixed program of housing, offices and laboratories using ecological engineering, and farming spaces, the which are vertically laid out in installments Floors and partly cultivated by its own inhabitants. Designed by Vincent Callebaut.

2. Dystopian, Vertical Farm Design Concept from
Shaped like a nest of insects, dystopian Farming project by Eric Vergne combine agriculture, housing workers, and places to shop, bring together farmers with urban needs. The idea is to reject GM food and projections. Provide irrigation airoponic and nutrition technology in an environment which fully controlled by humans as food sources.

3. Building Design inspired from the beehive
The concept of building a bee house is South Korea project in 2026, although taking the form of a beehive, but the building is planned to have the color green really like nature. He said the material to make this building is not green from synthetic materials rather than vines. It's estimated broad concept of this building approximately 339,400 square meters. However, this design is unfortunately not yet provide a solution to its own energy.

4. Building Water Resort
The concept of building for the resorts that are inspired by water droplets falling from high places. This concept was proposed by Orlando de Urrutia. In this design concept, architects Urrutia had been thinking about the concept of energy as well. A sustainable building projected for the water conscious themes and practices, the HITECH resort is Designed in a specific manner That integrates the renewable energy and generates electricity and water from the water. Solar energy is harnessed by southerly facing façade Covered by the transparent photovoltaic That glass allows light to pass through it thereby, generating electricity. The northern facade features lattices to Provide ventilation along with Teex Micron Atmospheric Water Generators to convert condensation and humid water into pure drinking water.
Designed for humid regions, the Water Building Resort not only purifies salty sea and Rainwater but Also controls the water quality with the help of water treatment facility in the bottom floor. Based on the theme of water, its upper floor harbors restaurants, gyms, exhibition halls, hotels and conference rooms, and spa services.

There are many spectacular ideas to design buildings that are inspired from nature, but now I can only share 4 only. maybe if I remember, I'll continuing again this posting.
